“Searching for Spring” — C.Birde, 3/16
Our pursuit of Spring continues. We gathered evidence at Tourne park — nodules of skunk cabbage thrust from mud; yellow-green haze softens twiggy branches; heady scent of warming Earth. Though she hides, she is evident in the throats of songbirds.
Your writing reminds me of Seamus Heaney. I love it! Such powerful imagery

Thank you so! And now, I will dash off and introduce myself to (and educate myself on) Seamus Heaney π My book stack never dwindles, despite of the time I spend reading!

Haha! I know exactly what you mean.
P.S. He writes beautiful poems about nature and children.

What a superb photo — I have walked a similar path many times in various locations. Seeing evidence of an approaching change of season is such a great feeling.

Thank you — I agree…searching for, and finding evidence, of seasonal change helps reaffirm my/our connection with Nature. We must keep walking, and keep looking, always π
