A nodding head that crowns a whip of green stem, Narcissus dreams during sun and shower alike — echo of light on the bright days, softly luminous on the gray.

i have always enjoyed looking at narcissus, but as with any well-crafted art, you have shown me a new way to look at this flower: “echo of light on the bright days, softly luminous on the gray.” oh, and the “whip of green stem” is a bracing surprise. so, narcissus the dreamer. lovely!

Again, thank you for your kind words and appreciation — Narcissus, and all within its family, are among my favorite Spring flowers…I love that, if you get close enough, you can almost see a little face looking out from those frilled trumpets! 🙂

I love the play on words with ‘narcissus’ and ‘echo’, given that she was in love with him. Beautiful imagery.
