“Wildflower Bouquet” — C.Birde, 7/16
Yes. Let’s pause a bit,
and while you bow to inhale
the roses’ breath,
I’ll gather Fennel and Fleabane
and frothing Queen Anne’s Lace
to weave together —
a Summer Crown
to set upon your brow.

Thank you, Neeti — Welcome, and thank you for visiting. You’re the first to remark on my blog’s name! I chose it, after much deliberation, for the two creatures’ connection to nature, the former with evenings, and the latter with day. And I like the idea that when each of the compound words is separated one from the other, they tell a small story — “Night jars and damsel flies”. 🙂
